In our latest Newsletter, we mentioned that we are thinking about how we can improve the way we use the Centre to provide more space for group work and community use of the premises.
Last year we commissioned an architect to draw up a feasibility study into the re-ordering of the internal layout in the building, to provide dedicated art and computer classrooms, space for social groups, hairdressing, daycare as well as a clinic. You can view a copy of the architect’s report here.
The designs provide the ability to run simultaneous classes and events in the Centre, which will benefit the wider community, as well as our own day care clients.
We would welcome your comments on the report. To do so please post or email your comments to Katia in the office.
We have submitted a bid to the AVIVA Community Fund to begin a Community Garden Project, and we need your continuing support by voting for the project.
We are looking to convert a plot of waste ground, at the rear of the Centre, and create a Community Garden to grow a range of fresh vegetables for the Centre’s kitchen and community use. You can help us bring this project to reality by clicking on the following link and voting for our project: AVIVA Community Fund. Please note if you do not already have a free Aviva account you will need to register your details.
Thank you in advance for your continued support.
