Welcome to Sudbury Neighbourhood Centre
An adult day centre for the elderly and those with varying disabilities living in the Brent, Ealing and Harrow areas
Sudbury Neighbourhood Centre is a friendly community-based charity running an adult day centre for older residents living in the Brent, Ealing and Harrow areas.
We have a wide programme of activities and events suited for all tastes at the Sudbury Neighbourhood Centre which we provide for older adults living in the London Boroughs of Brent, Ealing and Harrow. Our main area of work is daycare, which we have been providing since we were established in 1979, and this is the main focus of what we do at the Centre. As part of this work, we also offer a wide range of activities and events suited to our day care users, and the general public, for older adults. On these pages, you will find a complete programme of events that we run throughout the year (except when we are closed for bank holidays and Christmas/New Year celebrations) and a description of each area of work.
All of the activities are available to day care clients free of charge and community users can also access the majority of classes and activities we run as well for a small fee. We try to keep our daycare and activity charges as low as possible as we know that affordability is a key concern for many of our users.
Our daycare and weekly activity programme are listed on the What we Do page of this website, so please have a look at what we offer and we hope to see you at the Centre soon! For more information, please contact us by phone, email or just pop in and have a chat.
Day care costs are £45.00 including lunch and activities, and transport on our minibuses costs £10.00 per day.
The Centre operates a small fleet of wheelchair accessible minibuses, which we use to transport clients to and from their homes. The daily charge is £5 per journey (i.e. £10 for a return trip). However, please note that we cannot guarantee a place on our minibuses, as this depends on availability on a given day and distance travelled from the Centre. If we cannot provide transport of you on our minibuses, you can approach other providers such as Dial-a-ride, taxi-cabs, or other minibus companies. For more information please visit the Who we are section on this website or contact the Centre’s office.
The Centre is open throughout the year, Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 3.30pm.
Please note that we have the following vacancies for employees and volunteers at present:-
- Passenger Minibus Drivers, experienced with D1 licence, £9.00 per hour. Zero hours contract
- We also have vacancies for volunteers and trustees (to help run the charity)
Please visit the Vacancies page for details about the posts and how to apply!
We look forward to welcoming you.
